  • (12/6) The deadline for HW#3 postponed until Thu Dec 9, 11am. In the last problem you need to find Tjurina numbers at the singular points (Tjurina number of a singular point is its multiplicity not on the original variety, but rather on the singular locus).
  • (11/15) Log of Lab 11 is posted to the Lab sessions; note the typo that was fixed in the exercise.
  • (11/15) "Introduction to Singular" has been added to Resources.

  • (8/25) A link to John Little's webpage is added to Resources. Under "the work in progress" it contains a revised version of the textbook's section on the topic of today. There are also two new sections on the Gr"obner fan of an ideal and the Gr"obner Walk basis conversion algorithm, which we will cover later in the course.
