Classical topology and combinatorial group theory.

This is a continuation of Math 445, but should
be accessible to anyone with a background in
point-set topology.

We'll use Stillwell's book by the above name.
Topics will include:
- Simplicial complexes
- the Jordan curve theorem
- algorithms and combinatorial group theory
- classification of surfaces
- fundamental groups
- free groups and graphs
- simplicial homology

If there's time, we might get to some topology
of surfaces and 3-manifolds.
